# DSGpro Warranty & Returns Policy

## WARRANTY

**THE WARRANTY PERIOD COMMENCES FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE OR COMPLETION OF REPAIR, UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED ON THE INVOICE.**

If you experience any issue with a part, transmission, engine, mechatronic unit, clutch, gearbox or other component supplied or repaired by DSGpro, please contact DSGpro as soon as possible.

**DO NOT dismantle, open, modify, repair or allow another party to interfere with the supplied or repaired component without prior written authorisation from DSGpro.** Any unauthorised dismantling, repair, modification or interference may void the warranty.

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and diagnosis by DSGpro before any warranty repair, replacement or other remedy is approved.

### Warranty Conditions

Warranty may be void where failure or damage is caused or contributed to by:

* Incorrect installation, poor workmanship or incorrect adjustment by another party.
* Failure to perform required servicing or maintenance.
* Incorrect, insufficient or contaminated oil, coolant or other fluids.
* Overheating, oil starvation, contamination or external component failure.
* Burnouts, launch control abuse, drag racing, track use, excessive wheel spin or other abusive driving.
* Vehicle or drivetrain modifications outside the original intended operating conditions.
* ECU, TCU or engine/gearbox tuning that increases power, torque, clutch pressure or otherwise alters factory operating parameters.
* Aftermarket performance modifications that place additional load on the engine, transmission, clutch, mechatronic unit or drivetrain.
* Accident, impact, water ingress, flood damage or other external causes.
* Continued operation of the vehicle after a warning light, abnormal noise, loss of drive, overheating or other obvious fault has occurred.
* Failure of another vehicle component that subsequently causes damage to the warranted component.

Where a component is supplied only and not fitted by DSGpro, warranty applies only where the component has been professionally installed by a suitably qualified repairer and all required installation procedures have been followed.

### DSG / Transmission / Mechatronic Repairs

DSGpro specialises in transmission, DSG, DCT, mechatronic and clutch repairs. Warranty applies only to the components and work specifically listed on the invoice.

Replacement or repair of one transmission component does not constitute a warranty for the entire transmission or drivetrain.

Existing or future wear or failure of unrelated components — including clutches, dual-mass flywheels, bearings, synchronisers, gears, selectors, sensors, wiring, engine components or other internal/external transmission components — is not covered unless specifically stated on the invoice.

Adaptation or basic settings may need to be performed more than once following certain DSG repairs. Changes in clutch wear or other mechanical conditions after repair may also require further diagnosis or adjustment.

### Used Engines, Gearboxes & Parts

Used engines, gearboxes and other second-hand components are supplied as **used parts** and should not be expected to have the characteristics, appearance or operating condition of a brand-new component.

Normal wear consistent with the age and previous use of a second-hand component is not considered a warrantable defect.

Before installing a used engine, gearbox or mechanical component, the installer must:

* Check the cooling system, radiator, hoses, thermostat and related components.
* Use the correct manufacturer-specified oils, lubricants and fluids.
* Replace required oil, fuel and other service filters.
* Inspect timing belts/chains and associated components where applicable.
* Inspect and replace worn or leaking seals where necessary.
* Check water pumps and other serviceable components.
* Ensure all supporting systems are operating correctly before the vehicle is returned to service.

Damage caused by timing belt/chain failure, faulty injectors, fuel system faults, overheating, incorrect oil, oil starvation, cooling system failure or other external faults is not covered unless specifically included in writing.

### Modified & Tuned Vehicles

Vehicles with ECU/TCU tuning, performance software, increased boost, aftermarket turbochargers, performance exhaust systems, launch-control modifications or other drivetrain modifications may operate outside the manufacturer's original specifications.

Any failure caused or contributed to by tuning, increased engine output, increased torque, altered transmission behaviour or other modifications is not covered by DSGpro warranty.

DSGpro reserves the right to request that the vehicle be returned to factory-standard software or configuration as part of the diagnostic process.

### Warranty Inspection

If DSGpro has fitted or repaired the component, the vehicle must be returned to DSGpro for inspection before any third-party repair work is undertaken.

DSGpro will not be responsible for unauthorised diagnosis, dismantling or repair work performed by another workshop or individual.

Where reasonably required, DSGpro may request further diagnostic testing or removal and inspection of the relevant component before determining the cause of failure and warranty eligibility.

A warranty claim will only be accepted after DSGpro has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect and diagnose the reported issue.

### Costs & Consequential Loss

Unless required by applicable Australian Consumer Law, DSGpro is not responsible for costs unrelated to the warranted repair, including towing, vehicle hire, accommodation, loss of income, loss of use, third-party diagnostic charges or unauthorised repair costs.

Customers must obtain authorisation from DSGpro before arranging work with another repairer if they intend to seek reimbursement from DSGpro.

### Warranty Period

The applicable warranty period is the period stated on the customer's invoice or receipt.

Where no specific warranty period is stated, please contact DSGpro with the relevant invoice details to confirm the applicable warranty.

**Warranty terms are not transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing.**

## RETURNS

All returns must be approved by DSGpro before the item is returned.

Parts must be returned in substantially the same condition in which they were supplied, subject to reasonable inspection or use where applicable.

Parts that have been installed, dismantled, modified, damaged or incorrectly fitted may not be eligible for change-of-mind return.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate vehicle information, including make, model, year, engine code, transmission code and VIN where requested.

Special-order or specifically procured items may not be eligible for change-of-mind return.

Where legally permitted, an approved change-of-mind return may be subject to a **20% restocking fee**.

Proof of purchase must be provided for warranty and return claims.

Nothing in this warranty policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the **Australian Consumer Law**.

**By purchasing goods or services from DSGpro, the customer acknowledges and accepts these warranty and return conditions, subject always to their rights under applicable Australian law.**
